Available Financial Aid Programs

Federal Financial Aid

If you qualify, federal financial aid can help cover all or most of your tuition. These resources are designed to reduce the financial burden and help you stay focused on your future.

  • Pell Grant – This is free financial support you do not need to pay back. It’s awarded based on financial need.

  • Federal Student Loans – These are low-interest loans that you do repay, but only after you complete your training. Repayment usually begins six months after graduation or if you leave the program.

Many of our students—especially those from low- and middle-income families—rely on federal financial aid to pursue education and training. You can, too.

Training Grants for Dislocated Workers

If you’ve recently been laid off or are currently unemployed, you may qualify for special workforce training grants. NYIET accepts funding through programs such as:

  • Workforce Investment Act (WIA)

  • Workforce Development Partnership (WDP)

To access these grants, you’ll need to meet with a career counselor before enrolling in any training. We’re happy to guide you through that process and provide the documentation you need.

Support for Veterans

We are proud to support our veterans and military families. NYIET is approved to accept veterans’ education benefits. If you’re eligible for the GI Bill, you can use it to help fund your training and career advancement.

The GI Bill® Comparison Tool is available to help you estimate your benefits and understand your options. Feel free to contact us for help navigating the process.
